Little Gems Childcare in Ramsgate

Little Gems provides a homely, nurturing and stimulating environment where children's social, emotional and educational needs are met. The setting is exclusively used for childcare and has been purposely designed based on our values for child safety, quality education, child development and the happiness of the children.

This style of setting combines the benefits of a larger nursery teamed with the caring environment of a childminder where each child is treated as an individual. We work with the Early Years' framework to help each child reach their full potential through play, support, encouragement and praise.

The additional option of a bespoke menu of healthy home cooked meals and baking, using fresh organic produce sourced from local farms and businesses, adds to our commitment to create a homely and traditional childcare service.

Due to the smaller groups of children we care for, we have the freedom to take the children out on daily, local outings. Albeit a walk around Spencer Square, a visit to the beach, the park or the library, we feel it is important for children’s development and wellbeing to have the opportunity to explore and experience the outdoors as much as it is to learn and play indoors. In addition to regular outings, the setting also includes has a small, secure sensory garden that children can discover.

The childminding service is run by a qualified practitioner trained to Early Years degree level. In addition, there are two part-time Childcare Assistants working at the setting both of whom have been CRB checked. Little Gems is Ofsted registered and we are regularly inspected; we also hold public liability insurance with the NCMA.
