This will be the first newsletter of 2007!!! I am sorry for the lack of a December newsletter I was so busy I forgot to print and hand them out!!!
Last year flew past for me and I am so happy to see ‘LittleGems’ thriving and all the children are happy and developing brilliantly.
Early this year I will be doing routine assessments on the preschool children to identify how they have developed and where we will be looking to promote further development, a copy of this will go out the each parent.
As for an update on my training I have now completed my NVQ Level 3 (I am pleased to say) and in February I will be embarking on a degree in early years in addition to this I am currently training to become an accredited childminder.
Shiona is starting her childminding training in February.
In January the price of meals will be increased to £1.50, I have pre warned this in previous letters should anyone wish to stop having meals for their child they need to let me know as soon as possible.
Childcare prices will be revised in April; I will see you individually about this.
This year I will be doing some fundraising small things such as raffles, selling items made by the children and sponsored events with the children (these will aid learning as well) 50% of funds will go back into ‘LittleGems’ for new toys and equipment and the other 50% will go to WWF (world wildlife fund), I hope everyone will support these events.
